Upma/Upitt


Ingredients :-

2  bowl of Semolina

2 medium size chopped Onions

1 small size chopped Tomato

4-5 Chopped Green Chillies

Half a teaspoon grated Ginger

Half a tablespoon Mustard

Pinch of Asafoetida

Half a tablespoon Sugar

Salt to taste

3/4 bowl cooking oil

2 bowl water

Coriander leaves for garnishing, Roasted Dryfruits

Let's start :-

Take a Pan, roast Semolina on low flame until it leaves nise aroma and changes a colour. Turn off the gas and remove it in the plate.

Keep the Pan, add oil to heat, then add Mustard seeds and Asafoetida. Let Mustard seeds splutter. Add chopped Onion, Green Chillies and saute until Onion changes colour (light golden brown), then add Tomato, Ginger, let it cook for 2 mins.

Add Water, Sugar and Salt. After water get boil add Semolina & Dryfruits, saute well and keep plate on it to steam for 2 to 3 minutes.

Remove plate, stir well, garnish with Coriander leaves and serve.
